Restless State is built on responsibility, effort, and honor.
We are an independent, in-house operated apparel company. Every order is created, fulfilled, and shipped by real people—not a faceless corporation. We take pride in our work, and we stand behind what we make.
If something isn’t right with your order, we want to hear from you. Not because we’re obligated—but because it’s the right thing to do.

Contact Us First — Always
Before sending anything back, you must contact us first.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A clear explanation of the issue
- Photos if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect
Most issues can be resolved without a return, and we’ll always aim for the fastest, cleanest solution.
Return & Refund Window
Return or refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of confirmed delivery.
This window is clearly defined to meet Shopify policy standards and Tennessee consumer transparency requirements.
Eligible Returns & Refunds
A return, replacement, or refund may be approved if the item:
- Arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect due to our error
- Is unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
- Shows no signs of wear, odor, staining, or damage
- Is returned only after approval from Restless State
Approved outcomes may include:
- A replacement
- A refund to the original payment method
- Store credit, by customer request or mutual agreement
Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund
To protect the brand and the community, the following are not eligible for return or refund:
- Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery
- Returns sent without prior authorization
- Requests submitted outside the 14-day window
- Final sale, clearance, or limited-edition drops (clearly marked at purchase)
- Damage caused by improper care or failure to follow care instructions
- Buyer’s remorse after wear or use
Once an item has been worn, it is considered accepted.
Sizing & Fit
We provide detailed sizing information to help you choose with confidence.
Because fit is subjective:
- Selecting the wrong size does not qualify as a defect
- If the item is unworn and in original condition, we may offer an exchange or store credit, subject to availability

- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the issue is due to our error
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method
- We are not responsible for lost or untracked return shipments
Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected:
- Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer
Policy Abuse & Bad-Faith Claims
We operate on trust—but we don’t operate blindly.
Restless State reserves the right to:
- Deny returns that show signs of misuse, fraud, or intentional damage
- Limit or refuse future returns from accounts demonstrating repeat abuse
This policy exists to protect the community—not to be exploited.
